CARMEN HERDS! CARMEN HERDS!

Guess what Carmen heard...sheep! Today we took Carmen to Fido's Farm for a herding assessment. We thought it would be something she might really enjoy and a great bonding experience for us all. She was a natural and took to it right away, cutting and cornering, bringing the sheep back together. After several intense rounds, she was one tired pup...

Carmen's Urban Adventure

It was a warm, beautiful day so Carmen grabbed the digital camera and a tripod and headed out for an Olympian urban hike...

Hibernation

We've just been hibernating this past month. Working on some house projects, hanging out with friends, planning for the warmer months ahead, hiking with Carmen, and sleeping. The weather has been particularly knarly this winter. We had a lot of cold mornings (too slick to bike commute to work) and cold, wet, gray days. Attached are some pictures...

A rare sunny morning in Olympia this time of year...

Another beautiful batch of Kombucha. We love this Russian "mushroom" tea and have been brewing it for months now. It's actually fermented tea. The sugar in the tea feeds a colony of bacteria and yeast that floats on the top of the tea. It's rich in probiotics and oh so yummy!
